This June, the recipient of the Annie Young Award at Highlander
Softball Camp was Annie’s former Heights Heat teammate, Mia Bussin. Every summer, the Annie Young Award is given to a camper who “Plays Like Annie” with passion for the game and compassion for her teammates.
Coach Lanigan shared, “Mia was beyond honored to receive this award, and her mother reached out to me to share how touched she was in being the recipient, sharing that a team picture of her and Annie still stands front and center in her room.”
